Eversight

Eversight

Eversight is the 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves as Illinois’ eye bank. We carry out the wishes of donors and their families who give the gift of sight through cornea and eye tissue donation, to provide sight-restoring transplants and benefit research into treatment and cures for blindness. Our mission is to restore sight and prevent blindness through the healing power of donation, transplantation and research.

Founded in Chicago in 1947, Eversight works closely with donor families and donation partners including Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, as well as Illinois surgeons, service organizations, health care and community partners, and a committed network of advocates to fulfill our mission.

Together, we provide for more than 8,000 sight-restoring transplants in Illinois and around the world every year.

Our approach is designed to save lives while supporting families, patients, and our community. Together with our partners, we are working toward a brighter future where organs and tissues are always available to those in need.
